The IRSE association promotes professional exchange among members in Switzerland and neighbouring countries. Technology and innovations relating to signalling, telecommunications and automation are discussed in an informal setting.
The Swiss Section organises several events each year, the aim of which is to promote professional exchange among the participants. The events are primarily technically oriented and preferably take place at facilities under construction or in operation.
The aims of the events are:
- to broaden and deepen knowledge in the field of railway technology
- to enable an informal exchange of experience between members
- to collect new ideas for current activities and thus contribute to their further education.
The reports of previous events are listed in the section "Events" and give an optimal impression of our activities.
Membership of IRSE CH requires membership of IRSE International. Accordingly, IRSE members who are registered with IRSE International may also apply for membership of IRSE CH.
Applications for membership shall be submitted by e-mail to membership@irse.org. The Executive Committee decides on admission by simple majority.
Interested parties have the possibility to participate as guests for 12 months. Further participation requires the submitted application for membership of IRSE.
Companies and organisations from the industry, which recognise the aim and purpose of the association, can use the logo of IRSE SWISS SECTION as an "Affiliated Company" on their homepage as company members. In addition, there is the possibility to join the worldwide organisation of IRSE International as an "Affiliated Company".
