IRSE International
The Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) is an association founded in England in 1912 with its headquarters in London. As a 'Learning Society' it is a non-profit professional organisation in the field of signalling, telecommunications and automation. Its 5,500 members worldwide consist of well-trained engineers, managers and decision-makers from large and medium-sized railway companies as well as students. Cross-border synergies as well as holistic thinking in railway technology are promoted, and technical developments as well as digitalisation are conveyed through practical examples. In the Anglo-Saxon region and Asia, certification by IRSE is a prerequisite for working as an engineer in signalling technology.
